Development and Clinical Services segment up 18% in the quarter

Catalent 4Q Revenues: $510.1 million (-2%) 4Q Earnings: $153.4 million (earnings were $27.0 million 4Q14) FY Revenues: $1.8 billion (flat) FY Earnings: $210.3 million (earnings were $15.2 million FY14) Comments: Revenue from the Oral Technologies segment was $318.8 million in the quarter, down 8% with improved performance in the softgel and modified release offerings, as well as product-participation related activities. The company recorded a one-time $6 million customer contract settlement within its Zydis business. Revenue from the Development and Clinical Services segment was $124.2 million, up 18% primarily due to the Micron acquisition, as well as to growth in the clinical services and integrated oral solids development and manufacturing offerings, partially offset by declines in clinical trial activity in Europe. Revenue from the Medication Delivery Solutions segment was $70.1 million in the quarter, up 2%.
